The 7-day trial, precisely
One trial per person, starting at first verified sign-in. Everything Premium is open except progress photos. On day 8 at 00:00 local, Premium features lock — nothing is deleted, nothing auto-charges (there is no card). If you never subscribe, trial data is permanently deleted on day 38, per our retention policy.
What Premium actually unlocks
AI Meal Scan — fair use explained
20 photo scans per day covers even obsessive loggers (that's every meal plus 17 snacks). The cap exists because vision inference is our largest cost; abuse-tier bots would degrade the service for everyone. Limits reset at midnight local time and unused scans do not roll over.
Progress photos
One photo per date, stored encrypted in private object storage under your account. Comparison view, weight & body-fat annotations included. Delete any photo anytime; deletion purges the object within 24h.
Insights & Metriq Score
Premium sees the full correlation engine: sleep→meals, steps→cravings, protein→next-day energy — with weekly plain-language findings.
Priority support
Yearly members jump the queue (<24h) and get early access builds of new AI features.
Billing mechanics
- Charging: all payments run through Google Play / Apple App Store billing. We never see or store your card.
- Renewal: auto-renews at period end; the store emails you a receipt each cycle.
- Grace: if a payment fails, the store retries for 3 days while your Premium stays active.
- Cancellation: store subscription settings or Profile → Membership → Manage. You keep Premium until the paid period ends; no partial-month refunds except store policy.
- Switching plans: monthly→yearly prorates instantly; yearly→monthly takes effect at renewal.
- Price changes: existing subscribers keep their locked price; increases apply only to new sign-ups, announced 30 days ahead.
- Refunds: store policy first; we additionally approve goodwill refunds for verified technical failures within 14 days (support@metriqbear.fit).
When subscriptions end
You drop to the free tier: logging, history, water, streaks and read-access remain forever. AI scans revert to trial rate only if you restart a trial (not possible twice). Lapsed accounts are fully deleted 13 months after subscription end, after a 30-day email warning — export anytime before that.
